The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) conducts the COMEDK UGET (Undergraduate Entrance Test) for admission to engineering courses in over 190 private colleges in Karnataka. The exam is computer-based (online). It assesses candidates’ knowledge on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. It is open to both Karnataka and non-Karnataka students. The test consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with no negative marking. Eligibility requires 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The selection is purely based on merit, and the counselling process is conducted online.

Steps of Application

  1. Register – Create an account on www.comedk.org.
  2. Fill Form – Enter personal, academic, and exam center details.
  3. Upload Documents – Photo, signature, and ID proof.
  4. Pay Fee – ₹1,800 (Engineering) | ₹2,950 (COMEDK + Uni-GAUGE).
  5. Submit & Download – Review details and save the confirmation.

 

Application Fees

  • For Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) only: ₹1,800
  • For COMEDK + Uni-GAUGE: ₹2,950
  • Processing Fee: Additional charges based on the payment method

The application fee is non-refundable.

Payment Mode

Online (Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI) or Offline (SBI Challan).

 

 

 

 

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Indian citizens only.

Educational Qualification:

  • Must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognized board.
  • Compulsory subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • Minimum Marks: 45% (General) | 40% (SC/ST/OBC - Karnataka).
  • Candidates must have studied English as a subject.

Age Limit: No specific age limit.

Note: Diploma holders are not eligible for COMEDK UGET, as there is no lateral entry admission.

Counselling and Admission

1. Rank Card & Shortlisting

  • Candidates must check their COMEDK UGET rank on the official website.
  • Only those meeting the cutoff are eligible for counselling.

 

2. Online Registration for Counselling

  • Register on www.comedk.org and pay the counselling fee.
  • Upload required documents for verification.

 

3. Choice Filling & Seat Allotment

  • Fill in preferred colleges & courses based on rank & availability.
  • Seat allotment is done in multiple rounds.

 

4. Seat Confirmation & Fee Payment

  • Accept the allotted seat and pay the admission fee online.

 

5. Reporting to College

  • Download the allotment letter and report to the respective college.
  • Complete the admission formalities and submit documents.
