Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.
  • Domicile: Candidates should be residents of West Bengal.
  • Age Limit: Minimum age of 17 years as of December 31, 2025.
  • Educational Qualification: Passed or appearing in 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as core subjects.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) conducts the JELET counselling process for lateral entry admission to B.Tech/B.E. and B.Pharm courses in various colleges across West Bengal. The counselling process is conducted online and involves multiple rounds.

The step-by-step process is listed below:

1. Online Counselling Registration

  • Visit the official website: wbjeeb.nic.in
  • Click on the counselling registration link and enter login credentials.
  • Fill in personal details and upload required documents.

 

2. Choice Filling & Locking

  • Select preferred institutes and courses based on your rank and preference.
  • Lock your choices before the deadline to confirm selections.

 

3. Seat Allotment

  • WBJEEB releases the seat allotment result based on rank, category, and availability.
  • Check your allotment status online.

 

4. Seat Acceptance & Payment

  • If allotted a seat, pay the seat acceptance fee online.
  • Download the seat allotment letter for further processing.

 

5. Reporting to the Allotted Institute

  • Visit the allotted institute for document verification within the given timeframe.
  • Pay the admission fees to confirm your seat.

 

6. Further Rounds (If Applicable)

  • If you are not satisfied with your seat, opt for upgradation in the next round.
  • Participate in Round 2 or Mop-Up Round if seats remain vacant.
