Eligibility Criteria

To apply for VITEEE (Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination), candidates must meet the following requirements:

1️. Nationality:

  • Indian Nationals, NRIs, PIOs, and OCIs are eligible.
  • Foreign candidates can apply through the International Admissions process.

2️. Age Limit:

  • Candidates must be born on or after July 1, 2003.
  • Proof of age (10th/SSC certificate) is required.

3️. Educational Qualification:

  • Must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) OR Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) for certain B.Tech programs.
  • Minimum 60% aggregate marks in PCM/PCB (50% for SC/ST & reserved categories).
  • Candidates appearing for Class 12 exams in 2025 are also eligible.

4️. Qualifying Boards:

  • CBSE, ICSE, State Boards, and recognized international boards are accepted.

Preparation Tips

1️. Understand the Syllabus:

Counselling and Admission

The VITEEE counselling process is conducted in multiple phases.

 The steps are as follows:

Result Declaration:

  • After the VITEEE exam (in April), the results will be announced in April.
  • Candidates will be shortlisted based on their rank and score.

 

Counselling Registration:

  • Shortlisted candidates need to register for counselling on the official VIT website.
  • Counselling will be held in multiple rounds.

 

Document Verification:

  • Candidates must carry original documents and photocopies for verification.
  • Required documents may include:
    • VITEEE Admit Card & Rank Card
    • Class 12 mark sheet
    • Passport-sized photographs
    • Identity proof
    • Caste certificate (if applicable)

 

Seat Allotment:

  • Seats will be allotted based on the VITEEE rank and availability of seats in the preferred branch.
  • Candidates must pay the admission fee after the seat is allotted to confirm their admission.

 

Payment of Fees:

  • After seat allotment, candidates must pay the fee to secure their admission.
