Purpose

Admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programs at Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), including B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Pharm, PharmD, and other professional courses.

Exam Sessions

The Manipal Entrance Test (MET) is conducted in multiple sessions/phases each year. Typically, it is held in two to three phases, allowing candidates to improve their scores by appearing in multiple attempts.

• Phase 1 – Conducted in April
• Phase 2 – Conducted in May/June
• Phase 3 (if applicable) – Conducted in June/July

Steps of Application

1️. Registration:

• Visit manipal.edu and register with email & mobile number.

2️. Fill Application Form:

• Enter personal, academic, and contact details.
• Select preferred course & exam center.

3️.Upload Documents:

• Recent passport-size photo & signature.
• Other required documents (if applicable).

4️. Pay Application Fee:

• Payment through debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI.

5️. Submit & Print:

• Verify details and submit the form.
• Download/print the confirmation page for future reference.

Application Fees

• Application Fee: ₹600 (for all courses)
• Exam Fee (for B.Tech & other selected courses): ₹1,400 per attempt
• Total Fee for B.Tech Candidates: ₹2,000 (₹600 + ₹1,400)

Eligibility Criteria

For B.Tech:

• Must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognized board.
• Minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics, and one optional subject (Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subject).
• Mathematics and Physics are mandatory subjects.

For M.Tech:

• Must have a B.E./B.Tech degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 50% aggregate in qualifying degree.

Nationality:

• Both Indian & International candidates are eligible.

Syllabus

For B.Tech:

• Mathematics: Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Probability, Statistics, etc.
• Physics: Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Electricity & Magnetism, Optics, Modern Physics, etc.
• Chemistry: Physical, Organic, and Inorganic Chemistry topics from Class 11 & 12.
• English & Aptitude: Grammar, Vocabulary, Logical Reasoning, and Analytical Skills.

For M.Tech:

• Core subjects related to the chosen specialization (e.g., Computer Science, Mechanical, Civil, etc.).

For B.Pharm/PharmD:

• Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics (based on Class 11 & 12 syllabus).
• English & Aptitude.

Marking Scheme

• (+4) for each correct answer
• No negative marking
