Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET)

KCET Registration - 1 Feb '25 - 25 Feb '25 Download Guide

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is a state-level entrance exam. It is conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). Candidates who are willing to pursue Engineering, Agriculture, Veterinary, Pharmacy, and other professional courses in Karnataka should qualify this exam. It is primarily for students who have completed their 10+2 (PUC) in Karnataka or meet specific eligibility criteria.

KCET is an offline (pen-and-paper) exam consisting of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, with no negative marking. The exam is crucial for students aspiring to join government, private, and aided institutions in Karnataka. Additionally, Kannada Language Test is conducted for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates seeking eligibility under Karnataka domicile rules.

The selection process is merit-based, considering KCET scores and 12th-grade marks. After the results, candidates must participate in online counselling (KEA's CET counselling) for seat allocation.
