OVERVIEW
Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), established in 1957, holds the distinction of being India’s first self-financing engineering college. In 2000, it became a constituent college of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). The institute has been affiliated with prestigious universities such as Karnataka University, Mysore University, Mangalore University, and Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). MIT is approved by AICTE and holds an "A" grade accreditation from NAAC.
