OVERVIEW
The Neotia University (TNU) is a private university located in Kolkata, established in 2015 by the Ambuja Neotia Group through the West Bengal State Government Act of 2014. The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and has received approvals from AICTE, BCI, PCI, the Indian Nursing Council, and the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS). Additionally, TNU is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and holds ISO 9001:2015 certification. It is also among the nine institutions in India selected for 'Mission Innovation' by the Government of India for IC-MAP.
TNU offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across multiple disciplines, including Arts, Maritime Studies, Sciences, Agriculture, Pharmaceutical Science, Health Sciences, and Commerce.

Hostel: The Neotia University provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. The hostel fee per semester is INR 45,000, ensuring a comfortable stay for students.
Library: The university houses a well-equipped library spanning 8,000 sq. ft., featuring designated spaces for both group and individual study. The library collection includes 31,000+ national and international books, 3 million e-books and e-journals, open archives, and other digital resources. Additionally, each department maintains its own specialized library to cater to subject-specific needs.
Transportation: TNU offers air-conditioned transportation services to major locations in Kolkata and nearby areas. The transportation fee is INR 22,000 per semester, providing students with a convenient and comfortable commute.
Classrooms & Seminar Rooms: The university is equipped with smart classrooms, featuring internet connectivity, interactive boards, projector screens, and advanced communication facilities. These spacious and innovatively designed classrooms and seminar rooms facilitate experiential learning through lectures, seminars, workshops, and conferences.
Workshop: The workshop spans 10,000 sq. ft. and is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery. Students receive hands-on training under the supervision of qualified experts across various programs.
Laboratories: Each department at TNU has well-equipped laboratories managed by experienced faculty and trained technicians. Additionally, a highly advanced language lab is available to help students refine communication skills, body language, gestures, and posture.
Moot Court: Law students gain practical exposure through the moot court, which simulates real-world court proceedings. This facility enhances legal knowledge, research skills, drafting abilities, and presentation techniques.
WiFi Campus: The entire TNU campus, including hostels, is Wi-Fi enabled 24/7. Students can access online resources and IT infrastructure, with the university’s IT department available for technical support.
Multipurpose Hall: A 13,000 sq. ft. multipurpose hall serves as a venue for seminars, quizzes, drama performances, and indoor sports, fostering student engagement in co-curricular activities.
Ship-in-Campus: TNU boasts the only operational Ship-in-Campus in Eastern India, featuring a 4000 BHP ship engine and essential ship machinery, including a generator, oil-water separator, boiler, and fire control lab. This facility provides hands-on training in maritime studies.
Sports: The university encourages physical fitness and holistic development through its dedicated sports facilities. It has separate indoor halls for games like table tennis, carrom, snooker, chess, and badminton, along with courts for volleyball, badminton, and basketball. Additionally, TNU features two large playfields for cricket and football and offers coaching from qualified sports instructors in football, basketball, and cricket.
